Talk by Venerable Bhikkhu Sanghasena

There will be a Talk by Venerable Bhikkhu Sanghasena this Wednesday, 30th October 2013 at 8.00pm. The Venerable was born in the Himalayan region of Ladakh. He was brought up in a religious family of Buddhists. At the age of seventeen, he joined the Indian Army where he was imbued with a strong sense of discipline. In 1977 he answered the spiritual call and left the army and became a disciple of the famed Venerable Acharya Buddharakkhita Mahathera of the Maha Bodhi Society, Bangalore, India. He undertook studies in the Dhamma and practised various methods of Buddhist meditation.

SJBA MOONCAKE FAMILY NIGHT 14 SEPTEMBER 2013

Fellow Brothers and Sisters in the Dhamma,

 
The mid-Autumn festival is here and SJBA is celebrating this auspicious occasion by having a Mooncake Family Night on Saturday 14 September 2013. As this event is significant for children, we have invited underprivileged children from Ti-Ratana Welfare Society and special children from Persatuan Kebajikan Kanak Kanak Kurang Upaya Subang Jaya to join us in our merry-making. As we rejoice with our family members, we are also mindful of the needs of our invited guests. Therefore we have asked these children what they wish for and we are glad to list the details as follows:

Traditional Chinese Medical Treatment (free of charge)

1-DAY FOC TRADITIONAL CHINESE MEDICAL TREATMENT

DATE:            14th September 2013

TIME:             9am to 3pm

VENUE           SS15 MPSJ Multi-purpose Community Hall

As another community service, Subang Jaya Buddhist Association will jointly organize with the Jawatankuasa Penduduk Subang Jaya-MPSJ Zon 1 to provide 1-day Traditional Chinese Medical Treatment (free of charge) for the residents of Subang Jaya.

 Experienced Chinese Physicians qualified in Traditional Chinese Medicine Treatment will give treatment to those with certain sicknesses and bodily ache/pain, including diagnosis, acupuncture or other treatment, and medicine. Members, devotees and members of the public are invited to come for this day of FOC Traditional Chinese Medicine Treatment, which will be given on a first-come-first-serve basis up to a maximum of 80 patients only.
