Fellow Brothers & Sisters in the Dhamma,
A devastating 7.9 earthquake in Nepal on 25 April 2015 has destroyed many homes and lives and render thousands homeless. To-date more than 4,000 has died and the death toll is still rising. Countless thousands of traumatised people, especially the children, have to spend the cold nights out on the streets, in open spaces, frightened that the weakened buildings may collapse. They need our help.
SJBA is organising to raise funds in aid of the Nepal’s earthquake victims. Cash donations can be bank into Subang Jaya Buddhist Association Bank A/C: CIMB 12610000122052. (Please indicate behind cheque “For Nepal Earthquake Victims). Please request for receipts by forwarding your bank slip and name of donor.
You can also donate tents, blankets, clothing (new please), instant food, dry foodstuff, canned food, cooking oil (no rice and sugar please as they are controlled items in Nepal), for Nepal earth quake victims. For quicker logistics, please send direct to Sri Lanka Buddhist Temple, Sentul from 4th to 8th May 2015. If it is not convenient for you to do so, SJBA can also help to collect (from 4th to 7th May) and resend to Sentul .
